MELLENCAMP ESSAY ONLINE
The Huffington Post has run a 23-hundred word essay by John Mellencamp. The piece is titled On My Mind: The State of the Music Business and in it, the singer describes how he feels if the music industry hadn’t been so focused on money then there would be many more creative artists right now. CHICKENFOOT PLAY PRIVATE SHOW AT BEST BUY
Chickenfoot, the supergroup made up of former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Pepper Chad Smith, recently put on a private concert for employees of a California Best Buy. You can see footage of the gig on YouTube now and later this year, you might be able to check out the group live. They are in the process of booking shows starting in May.
